Adel celebrates historic WISPA win in Kuwait!

Egypt’s 15-year-old Yathreb Adel (pic ri) has made history by becoming the youngest winner of 2 WISPA World Tour titles after clinching the Sheikha Al Saad Open in Hawally, Kuwait.

Incredibly, it was only two weeks ago that compatriot Nour El Sherbini set the record. Two months before her 16th birthday, El Sherbini despatched all-comers to win the Alexandria International Open, her 2nd Tour title.

But, after lifting the Swiss Open crown in March, Adel swept through the WISPA World Tour 8 field at the Sheikha Al Saad Open, beating top seed Emma Beddoes en-route to the final where she defeated England’s higher-ranked Lauren Selby (pic le) 11-5, 8-11, 11-9, 11-9 in 45 minutes.
