The 2nd day of the ROWE British Grand Prix 1st round action brought up some exciting squash. In the 1st match Egyptian Tarek Momen produced the 1st up-set when he beat higher ranked Alister Walker from Botswana in 4 games (11-8, 10-12, 11-6, 11-6). Omar Mosaad secured more Egyptian interest in the 2nd round as he overcame Englishmen Jonathan Kemp in a tough 5-games encounter (14-12, 8-11, 11-5, 10-12, 11-9).
And it was French veteran Thierry Lincou who used all his experience to held the upper hand over World Junior Champion Marwan El Shorbagy of Egypt in straight games (11-6, 11-3, 11-7). The last match of today’s 1st session showed an attacking Swiss Champion Nicolas Mueller (pic le) to lead more than 20 places higher ranked Englishman Daryl Selby (pi cri) by 2 games. But world No11 clawed back to level the match and had the better end in the final game (5-11, 9-11, 11-2, 11-9, 11-8).
