The longest match of the championship brought the inaugural NetSuite Open to a close when Laurens Jan Anjema (pic) held off Omar Mosaad in a tie-break decider to win the PSA World Tour title in Stanford, USA.

The 3rd seeded 23-year-old Egyptian soon opened up a 2-game lead against Dutchman Anjema, the world No12 ranked just a single place higher. Anjema was able to level. The 5th games was nip and tuck all the way through. Anjema had the 1st match-ball at 10-9 which Mosaad saved and proceeded 2 match-balls of his own – at 11-10 and 12-11.

The drama continued as Anjema again levelled the match before gaining his 2nd championship-ball after 100 minutes (7-11, 7-11, 11-8, 11-5, 14-12).
