Grinham out as David and Duncalf maintain focus!

Rachael Grinham was forced to retire from the competition early this morning, due to an injury the Australian obtained in yesterday’s match against Low Wee Wern. Group B will now be comprised of just three 3. First match in group A saw a major upset as French World No9 Camille Serme (pic ri) beat Irish World No3 Madeline Perry (pic le) 11-6, 5-11, 11-7.

Favorite Nicol David of Malaysia continued her progression through the group stages with a controlled 2-0 win (11-4, 11-4 ) over Australian Donna Urquhart. Due to Grinham’s withdrawal, Jenny Duncalf played the final women’s match of the today. England’s World No2 was in control of Low Wee Wern (MAS) to take the 11-7, 11-8 victory.
