However, the 4-time champion will have to step up several gears before facing 2nd-seeded Egyptian Ramy Ashour, who downed Malaysian qualifier Ivan Yuen 11-3, 11-7, 11-3. Australian No2 Cameron Pilley failed to get 1 round further as he got outplayed by Frenchman Greg Gaultier 11-6, 11-8, 11-7. Englishman Peter Barker presents himself in good form, as he overcame Australian Aaron Frankcomb 11-6, 11-8, 11-7.
