With this victory Matthew regains his 2010 North American Open title. As the Englishman managed to built up a 2 games lead, the Richmond crowd saw the Egyptian striking back to level the match. It was Matthew who was able to open up a 3 point gap and saved it until the end (11-9, 11-5, 8-11, 8-11, 11-6).
