Matthew struggled but did not fall!

Nick Matthew (pic) survived a 5 games battle against Australian world No11 Cameron Pilley. The English World No1 came back from 1-2 down to level the games, but in the final game it was just like the flip of a coin who is going to win this tough encounter. The Australian did get 1 chance at 10-9 to finish to his advantage, but the World Champion closed the gap and won on extra points in the tiebreak after 91 minutes of play (11-6, 8-11, 8-11, 11-6, 13-11). Tomorrow Matthew will face his English team-mate Daryl Selby in the semis of the Swedish Open.
