The triumph marks Golan’s biggest success since the former world No10, underwent major knee surgery in 2009. The 3rd seed, dropped just 1 game en-route to the final where he met Grant, the defending champion. Undoubtedly spurred on by the partisan crowd, Golan took the 14-12, 11-0, 8-11, 11-6 victory.
