As 12th seed Natalie Grinham (pic re) is the only player who kept Dutch home hopes alive, the crowed at the Luxor Theatre was very pleased with the way Grinham saw off her Malaysian opponent Low Wee Wern (pic le) in straight games (11-7, 11-7, 11-5) to take a semi-finals spot in the World Open in Rotterdam.
Last women’s quarter-final for today showed titleholder Nicol David progressing on her target to take the 6th World Open trophy as the Malaysian beat Australia’s Kasey Brown 11-7, 12-10, 11-4.
