In 6 of the 8 age groups Egyptian players took the titles at the Dutch Junior Open. The boys under 13 went to Finland (Miko Äjänen) and English Emily Whitlock took the girls under 19 trophy. The Egyptian dominance was forced by the victories of Nouran Gohar (girls under 13), Laila Omar (girls under 15), Haidi Lala (girls under 17), Karim El Hammamy (boy under 15), Osama Khalid Khalifa (boys under 17) and Moustafa Bayoumy (boys under 19).
