The 2 women’s matches went done the seeding line as birthday girls Laura Massaro (ENG) beat Annie Au (HKG) in straight games (11-9, 11-7, 11-6) and 2nd seed Jenny Duncalf (ENG) had the upper hand against New Zealand’s Joelle King (11-8, 7-11, 11-1, 11-3).
