Heba El Torky (pic le), 20, made her way into the final in Alexandria with a straight games semi-final win (11-5 11-4 11-5) over Egyptian compatriot Farah Abdel Meguid (pic ri). In the other all-Egyptian semi, the 17 year old 2nd seed Kanzy El Dafrawy needed 39 minutes to overcome Nouran El Torky 11-5 11-4 11-5. The final was a 59-minutes affair which could turn either way. But in the end El Torky had the edge over her younger compatriot took the title in 4 games 11-4 11-9 9-11 11-4. The Alexandria crown marks El Torky’s 2nd title in 2011 and her 5th in her career.
