New York teenager Amanda Sobhy (pic) continued her relentless assault on titles on the WISPA Tour when she won the $12,900 Women’s Lopes Royal Open in Brasilia. 17-year-old Sobhy downed no1 seed Dane Line Hansen after 42 minutes (11-6, 8-11, 11-6, 11-9). The triumph marks Sobhy’s fifth – and biggest – Tour title. It follows a remarkable run for the youngster who in Chicago became the youngest player ever to reach the final of her country’s longest established squash tournament.
