
Sarah Kippax’s (pic le) hopes of getting through to the women’s British Nationals semi-finals were dashed when the 4th seed crashed out to lower-ranked Dominique Lloyd-Walter (pic ri) . The No7 seed prevailed to win 14-12, 11-7, 11-7 in 40 minutes. Lloyd-Walter, a former world No18, is making a comeback after a six-month foot injury lay-off. Her semi-final opponent will be Jenny Duncalf, the world No2 who is seeded to win the women’s trophy for the third time since 2007.
