English top-seed Jenny Duncalf booked her semi-final ticket when she overcame Joey Chan of Hong Kong after getting back from one game down (4-11, 11-9, 11-8, 11-2). Dun calf’s semi-final opponent will be French girl Camille Serme who had clearly the upper hand against Malaysian 6th seed Low Wee Wern (11-7, 11-8, 11-3). 2nd seed Australian Kasey Brown was already 2 games up, when Indian Dipika Pallikal fought back to level the match. In the decider Brown destroyed the home hopes roughly, when she took the 5th game easily 11-5. In the last quarter Hong Kong’s 5th seed left handed Annie Au (pic) downed 4th seed New Zealander Jaclyn Hawkes 9-11, 11-7, 15-13, 11-9 to secure her 8th semi-final appearance this year.
