Czech Jan Koukal (pic) avenged 2 successive defeats by Adrian Waller in the last 2 weeks when he beat the Englishman to reach the final in Argentina. Waller looked set to claim a hat-trick of wins over the Czech as romped to a two-game lead in the semi-finals in Resistencia. 3rd seed Waller had 4 match-balls in the 3rd game, but top seed Koukal kept control as he took the game 16-14. After 75 minutes the Czech No1 clinched his sensational 6-11, 6-11, 16-14, 11-9, 11-8 victory. The win takes Koukal into his 4th PSA Tour final of the year, and the 27th of his career. Koukal will face Brazilian Rafael F Alarcon, the No2 seed who recovered from a game down to beat 4th-seeded American Christopher Gordon 9-11, 11-7, 11-9, 12-10 in 55 minutes. The semi-final success takes Alarcon, ranked just one place lower than Koukal into the 26th Tour final of his career!
