Egyptian Raneem El Weleily (ri) booked her place in the Malaysian Open Championships after ending the impressive run of Low Wee Wern (le) of Malaysia 11-8, 9-11, 11-9, 9-11, 11-9 and destroyed the hopes of an all-Malaysian final in the shopping mall of Selangor..

El Weleily will now face Nicol David in the final after the home favourite came back from a game down to overcome a determined Laura Massaro 10-12, 11-6, 11-7, 11-8 after 52 minutes of play.
