There were two very different games at the semi-finals stage. Amr Shabana (pic) and Greg Gaultier (pic) just battled it out for one game of 28 minutes high-intense squash, which was followed by an easy 2nd game. At 7:5 Gaultier had nothing left and conceded the match, while Shabana took the 1st final spot. The 2nd semi-final showed another 5 games by James Willstrop. After 82 minutes Egyptian world No.1 Ramy Ashour had the better end (11-7, 8-11, 11-9, 10-12, 11-7) and secured an all-Egyptian final in Kuwait. Shabana vs Ashour, that’s the replication of last year’s World Open final in Kuwait, which Shabana won in straight games.
