David goes for no.6 – Ashour celebrates his 1st Hong Kong title!

Malaysia's world no.1 Nicol David (pic ri) beat England's Jenny Duncalf, the world no.2, in straight games (11-6, 12-10, 12-10) in the Hong Kong Open final, to secure her 6th successive title triumph. The win boosts David's career Tour tally to 47 titles, including six this year. After 90 action-packed minutes Egypt's Ramy Ashour (pic le) took his 1st Hong Kong title, by beating Frenchman Greg Gaultier in a thrilling five-games encounter (10-12, 11-9, 11-9, 9-11, 11-9). This victory ensured Ashour’s return to the top of the PSA world rankings next month. It was the Egyptian's 1st Super Series trophy of the year and it takes Ashour's career PSA Tour title tally to 16.
