The English No.8 of the World, Peter Barker (pic), produced a major up-set in the Hong Kong quarter-finals, when he downed his compatriot and World No.1 Nick Matthew in four games (3-11, 11-8, 11-5, 11-5) in 55 minutes. Barker will meet Frenchman Greg Gaultier in the semi-final, who took out the five times and defending Hong Kong champion Amr Shabana (11-9, 8-11, 11-5, 11-8). No surprise at the women’s draw so far.
