Fifth seed James Willstrop (pic le) survived an incident-packed semi-final of the ROWE British Grand Prix to beat fourth-seeded Frenchman Greg Gaultier 11-7, 11-9, 9-11, 5-11, 11-9 in 101 minutes to ensure his spot in Monday’s final. The match was up and down all the way – both needed injury breaks, both shouted to the referees, but only one could win – the Manchester crowd was very pleased.
