Also Ramy Ashour, who is bidding to win his third 2010 Super Series crown, also had to recover from a game behind to beat Dutchman Laurens Jan Anjema 7-11, 11-8, 11-9, 11-0. In the all-Egyptian match Karim Darwish needed 36 minutes to secure his quarter-finals slot, when he had the upper hand over Wael El Hindi (11-7, 11-8, 11-7).
