Casteleyn marches on in LA!

Belgian veteran Stefan Casteleyn (pic) maintained his giant-killing run on his home courts at the Los Angeles Athletic Club when he scored his 2nd upset in the KIG Open to earn a surprise place in the semi-finals. The 37-year-old former world No7, recovered from 1/2 down to upset 4th-seeded Egyptian Omar Abdel Aziz 11-8, 1-11, 8-11, 11-5, 11-8. Casteleyn, ranked 391 in the world, will now take on England’s Jonathan Kemp, the only seed left in the draw. Kemp, the n2d seed also ousted an Egyptian, qualifier Amr Khaled Khalifa, 11-2, 11-9, 8-11, 11-6.
