Abbas and Mueller downed seeds in Chicago!

Egypt’s former world No13 Mohammed Abbas scored another notable win in his comeback bid after a long injury layoff when he beat 5th seed Alister Walker, the world No17 from England, to reach the quarter-finals of the US Open in Chicago. With this 3-2-victory (3-11, 11-4, 11-7, 10-12, 11-9) Abbas reached the quarter-finals of a major PSA event for the first time in more than two years. Swiss fellow Nicolas Mueller (pic) produced the 2nd upset in Chicago when he downs Hisham Mohd Ashour, the No7 seed from Egypt, 11-8, 9-11, 8-11, 11-8, 11-7. All other top seeds where able to reach the quarter-finals.
