Matthew retains world No1 position!

Nick Matthew (pic), who last month became the 1st Englishman for 6 years to top the world rankings, retains his No 1 position in July. Matthew tops an almost unchanged top 20, ahead of Egyptians Ramy Ashour, Amr Shabana, Karim Darwish, Frenchman Gregory Gaultier and fellow countryman James Willstrop in 6th position. The only change is England’s Jonathan Kemp who made world No 20. Next big event which might have a major influence to the rankings, will be the Australian Open ($147,500, Canberra) in August.
