Second seed Egyptian Wael El Hindi and 3rd seed Laurens Jan Anjema, from the Netherlands, had their opponents, the young Swiss fellow Nicolas Mueller and the experienced Egyptian Mohammed Abbas under control and reached the semis with straight games victories. Flying Finn Olli Tuominen (pic) and Egyptian Omar Mosaad toppled the top seeds. Tuominen overcame 4th seed Mohamed El Shorbagy from Egypt in four games (11-8, 11-5, 8-11, 12-10) and Mosaad beat No1 seed Frenchman Thierry Lincou in an 80 minutes encounter 8-11, 11-3, 13-11, 10-12, 11-8.
