Matthew holds off Ashour at World No1!

England’s Nick Matthew (pic front) holds onto his No1 position in the September Dunlop PSA Men’s World Rankings, despite losing to his Egyptian rival Ramy Ashour (pic back) in last month’s Australian Open final. It was the pair’s 3rd clash this year in the climax in Canberra – and world No2 Ashour avenged his earlier defeat to win in 5 games. Next chance for Ashour to pull back on the 50 points separating him from Matthew will be the ROWE British Grand Prix (19th – 25th of September).
