It was Frenchman Greg Gaultier (pic le) who stopped Karim Darwish’s (pic ri) ambitions retaining his Qatar Classic title, as Gaultier beat the Egyptian in straight games 11-8, 11-4, 11-1. World No6 Gaultier will meet English World No 4 James Willstrop in the final, who overcame Australian fellow Stewart Boswell 11-8, 11-3, 11-9. Willstrop will aim for his 2nd Qatar title as he won in 2005. Gaultier’s best Qatar-result was in 2007 – runner up.
